Burning for You by Blue Oyster Cult
Donald Roeser and Richard Meltzer wrote the song Burning for You. Released in 1981 by the Blue Oyster Cult through their album Fire of Unknown Origin. It was the background music in the opening scene as lead characters Sam and Dean drive down a road.

You Shook Me All Night Long by AC/DC
AC/DC, the hard rock band from Australia, debuted the song You Shook Me All Night Long in 1980, a cut from their album Back in Black. The single took the 35th spot on the USA’s Hot 100 pop singles chart in 1980. It also made it to the #10 spot on VH1’s 100 Greatest Songs of the 80s. Ramblin’ Man by The Allman Brothers Band
American rock band The Allman Brothers Band released the lead single, Ramblin’ Man, in August 1973. It was part of their studio album Brothers and Sisters. The band’s guitarist Dickey Betts wrote and sang the song. It was a bit of a departure from the bands usual sound as it has a country feel to it so they were hesitant about the song in the beginning. The song eventually became a hit, ranking second on the Billboard Hot 100 and hitting #12 on the Easy Listening chart. It took Betts almost a year to finish the song but wrote the lyrics as fast as 20 minutes in 1971. Hank Williams’ song of the same name inspired Betts’ version. The song can be heard played in Supernatural’s season 4 episode 3, where Dean enters a diner and asks someone where he was. It was also featured in the first episode of season 1.

Hot Blooded by Foreigner
English-American rock band Foreigner came out with the album Double Vision in 1978, with its carrier single, Hot Blooded. It was written by Mick Jones and Lou Gramm, and produced by Jones, Ian McDonald, and Keith Olsen. RIAA awarded the single a Platinum award for reaching one million unit sales. It went up to #3 in the Billboard Hot 100 chart in September 1978. The single is also used by Tacoma FD, an American comedy TV series, as its theme song. It was also featured in Supernatural’s second episode in season 1. The song is playing in the background as Dean and Sam drive down a road.

Wheel in the Sky by Journey
Robert Fleischman, Neal Schon, and Diane Valory co-wrote Journey’s hit single, Wheel in the Sky. It was one of the cuts from their studio album, Infinity. The song peaked at #57 at the Billboard’s Hot 100 in 1978. It was used in a couple TV series, the most notable of which is Supernatural’s Season 2 Episode 3.
