In the remote South Korea village of Hope Harbor, police chief Bum-seok (Hwang Jung- min) and officer Sung-ae (Hoyeon) are called to find a mysterious creature that has wreaked havoc on the village. In the nearby forest, a coterie of hunters, including Sung- ki (Zo In-Sung) set out to track the beast and find themselves hunted instead. But all is not as it seems, and perceptions can be misleading. What begins as ignorance plants the seed of disaster, escalating through human conflict into a tragedy of cosmic proportions.

This marks South Korean model/actress Hoyeon's first starring since Squid Games.
Director Na Hong-jin was quoted saying: "Oftentimes, a person’s goodwill can lead to unintended catastrophe simply because of differences in perspective. My hope for this film is to cinematically capture that phenomenon in a way that has yet to be seen."
Cinematographer Hong Kyung-pyo, known for his work on Parasite and Burning, is also on board, marking his second collaboration with Na after The Wailing.
Written/directed by Na Hong-jin (The Chaser, The Yellow Sea, The Wailing).
Apparently Michael Fassbender and Alicia Vikander wanted to take part in the film "after being impressed by the director’s previous work."
This is a South Korean movie that will feature some English, mainly from Michael Fassbender and Alicia Vikander, while the rest of the cast will be speaking Korean.
